How commission tracking works

Status: Available

Commissions are where agencies get paid — and where errors are costly. ChronosCodex tracks expected versus received commissions and ties every payment back to the policy and agent.

Rates and expectations

Commission rates can vary by state and carrier. ChronosCodex calculates expected commission so agencies know what they are owed, by policy and by month.

Reconciliation

Imported carrier statements are reconciled against expectations, with a workflow to match, review, and resolve discrepancies — and link each commission to its policy and household.

Attribution and chargebacks

Full-commission and override payouts are attributed to the writing agent and AOR. Chargebacks (reversed commissions when a policy cancels) are tracked so the book stays accurate.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChronosCodex calculate expected commissions?

Yes — using per-state and per-carrier rates, it calculates expected commission by policy and month, then reconciles against carrier statements.

What is an override commission?

Commission earned on a downline agent's production, attributed to the writing agent or agency — tracked alongside full commissions.
